he school year is ending and so is Carey Kopeikin’s time at Mercersburg Academy. Kopeikin will be taking a position at Choate Rosemary Hall, a boarding school in Wallingford, Connecticut.

During his time at Mercersburg, Kopeikin worked in the Math Department teaching Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and other courses. Additionally, Kopeikin coached boys’ j.v. soccer and boys’ j.v. lacrosse. Kopeikin also headed one of the most competitive events on campus: Mathletics.

Kopeikin said that it would hard to pick just one favorite memory at Mercersburg, but if he had to, it would the “countless times Team Kopeikin beat Team Smith in Keil Hall Soccer.” Kopeikin will miss all the teachers in the Math Department, his students, and the “players on the team that perennially has the best record at Mercersburg, j.v. boys’ soccer.”
